"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
Meeting once a week for 12 weeks, each topic looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation. Growth groups meet to share life, study the Bible and encourage on another in our journey of faith. To help develop these significant relationships, we have created “Growth Groups”. It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in either a Growth Group or another similar small group experience. We have small groups that meet weekly in various places in Surrey and Delta. You are welcome to join us. To see the groups or to get answers to the following questions: How Long Do They Last? What is the Required Commitment? What Will We Study? What Does it Cost? How do I join?, click here to read more.
Open Horizons (Seniors)
Open Horizons is for seniors age 50 and over, and meet on the first Tuesday of each month from September through June. Our meetings start at 11:30am with fellowship and at 12 noon we have lunch, which is by donation. Following lunch we pray, honour birthdays, give announcements, and complete our meeting with a guest speaker. Our meetings usually conclude at around 2pm.
Our seniors enjoy this time of fellowship, food and learning. Please come out as we welcome new people to join and attend our group. At different times of the year we also have field trips, such earlier this year, with a day trip to Cathedral Grove, in Port Alberni. We encourage you to join us!
Women’s Connections is a way for women of all ages to get to know each other in an informal way on Thursday mornings at New Hope Church. We look forward to you joining us. For more info, contact Linda Allard (604-592-8476).
Every Thursday at 9-11 am, bread and pastries donated by Cobbs Bakery are available at no charge. People from the community are welcome to come to the New Hope lobby and pick up bread and if they like enjoy a cup of coffee with friends.
