Dear New Hope Family,
We as a church are committed to the health and well being of our church members, guests, and those in our community. We have continued to monitor the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, and the policies being put in place by our government.
Recently, the BC Provincial Health Officer has announced that gatherings over 50 people must be cancelled to minimize any potential spread of illness. Because of this decision, ALL mid-week gatherings and church rentals at New Hope will be cancelled until further notice, effective immediately.
Let us be reminded that we are the church, with or without a space to gather! We follow a GREAT God, who wants us not to fear, but to put our hope, faith, and trust in Him. As Psalm 46:1 tells us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Let us rely on His strength at such a time as this.
Be assured that as we continue to watch the situation closely over the coming days, we will keep you updated as best as possible. For those of us who are well and able, let us use this as an opportunity to reach out to those in our church & community who may be in need. Now is the time to come together as the body of Christ, to serve one another, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Please feel free to come by the church to drop off your tithe or use the debit machine. If you come and the doors are locked, call the church office at 604-596-8178 so that Daniela can open up for you. During this time, we still have bills that need to be paid and needs to be met.
If you have any questions regarding this update, please get in touch with us via direct message, or call the church office at 604-596-8178. Thank you for understanding. We will keep you posted as to when we will be able to gather together again.
