The ND Small Pantry (aka Nick’s Nook), is an initiative to help address food insecurity in our community found at the front of our parking lot. This collaboration by New Hope Church, United Way British Columbia, Magical Hearts and amazing community supporters allows people to take what you need for today, & leave what you can for tomorrow. The pantry is accessible 24/7, for whoever needs it—no judgment, no barriers, no shaming. It is also open 24/7 for anyone wanting to donate items. Accepted Items: Anything non-perishable (diverse canned and dry goods eg. grains/rice, sauces, boxed mac & cheese, condiments, pasta, ramen noodles, beans & legumes, vegan products, pancake/waffle mixes, spreads, crackers, nuts & seeds, granola/protein bars, shelf-stable milk alternatives, soups, canned fish, boxed & bottled juices, cereals & oatmeal, lentils, fruit cups etc.)
Anything perishable will not be accepted (no fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, eggs, etc.) and nothing homemade. NO expired products, please!
